Default I have one....small gains (unproven) in overall HP.

When my turbo blew, there were no Stage 3 kits available (my wallet thanks me). So I had Majestic Turbo tweak out a stock K04-20 series. They said you could not really change out the internals, but that lightening, balancing, and polishing the turbine was about it. Cost is around $200-300 IIRC.

I don't think I got much HP from this tweaking, but the turbo seems to spool up a little quicker. No dyno proof on anything at this time. Also, I upgraded to APR turbo-back exhaust at the same time, so it will be difficult to know the improvements of the turbo alone.

I wouldn't go through all that effort unless your stock turbo is blown.

Default

I' bet your spool gains are mostly from the turboback.

Default Thanks for everyones input. Back to the custom turbo drawing board... more info>

I was searching for an upgrade because my car has felt sluggish lately.

I reset my battery last night doing the Diesel Geek Stigma 6 install and then drove the car again. It acted entirely different. I'm going to bet that some variable is off in the car and it adapted to it and got really boring. It was acting reliable @ 20psi holds with 22 spikes but it didn't really feel like those numbers. Now its spiking 25psi and holding 20ish again but it feels a lot different. I'm going to be doing logs and investingating when I get a chance.

Custom t3/t4 .63 trim w/ DBB is on the drawing board right now. Seems like my most economical choice for the power I'd like to make. Also I know the kits are great, i just don't have the $$$$

Thanks again everyone!

Hybrid turbo off the list!
