    Will not drive it hard for a while and then re-apply belt dressing just to make sure.

    Probably none got on (belt, by the way is obviously not slipping), but a little nervous.

    Looked at gear and even if I sprayed lubricant directly on the gear arms, it would have been slung off and only a mist or spatter would get on the belt (and that would be mixed with fresh belt dressing).

    Shut car down, wiped where I could, re-started and liberally applied the dressing. Will do again after a few hundred miles.

    Duh! What a stupid thing not to have been more careful with.
