audi dealer inspected 2001 TTR with 34k and said there was excessive wear and it needed to be replaced = no Audi 105k warranty on TB ,and because they put it in writing my 3rd party warranty would not cover damage if it broke until i got it replaced ...

had it replaced today at non Audi dealer ..old TB is in excellent shape - the painted numbers/letters are in excellent shape, ribs are excellent .. i wonder if anybody is keeping track of how many of these are being replaced and if Audi gives any guide lines on what is good or bad ... i'm going to send my TB to the lawyers that did the TB suit and state my concern on TB rip offs ...

i replaced it based on Audi inspection = i'm heading out for a road trip the next 3 weeks and didn't want to take any chances ...
