head brackets. The hardtop has beefier brackets that replace the OEM ones. The problem was the right side bracket. If you push something into the round hole where the pins in the top fit, there is a switch that the pin pushes. When I replaced the right side bracket with the correct one it worked perfectly. The pic is the original bracket on the left and the beefed up hardtop version on right. The switch I'm talking about can be seen on the left bracket. I removed the original electrical contact switch, but you can see the mechanism that activates it.
