if not you're essentially driving a time Bomb...Better allocate $800-1000 to that first.

On suspension, if comfort is paramount, replace shocks (Koni FSD's are comfy but I like Bilstein HD's from a control perspective), and various suspension bushings. Leave the springs stock.

You have enough in your budget for both the timing belt job and shocks..
