Bad news today concerning my Forged HRE three piece wheel...
<center><img src="http://images24.fotki.com/v831/photos/7/721600/2597975/P4140911-vi.jpg?1176572016"></center><p>tire developed a slow leak about a week ago. I took it to my local garage who called me later in the day to tell me that my rim was cracked.
Does anyone here have any contact information for any shop or individual who does forged aluminum wheel repair?
The crack is about 2" long and does not extend to the bead. The tire will hold air for about 24 hours or so.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased these wheel second hand from a guy on Fortitude. He had them on FleaBAY but...
they didn't sell. He let me have them fairly cheap. Would they still be under warranty ?

they would just replace the cracked barrel...and at the same time, clean them up
if need be. i wouldn't ride on a fixed cracked wheel...i would think that you value your life more.

Contact Skip at "Skip's Wheelwerks". I've dealt with a few wheel repair guys over the
years, but never anyone with Skip's skill. If it's safe to repair he can do it, if it's not... he'll tell you. I wouldn't trust this to just anyone. He does tons of 3 piece wheels for assorted race teams and has excellent credentials.
