Default In the quest for more reliable power for the 180 TTQ>>

does anyone know if this setup as Giac Usa explains would work and would be worth it?

It would seem alot less $$$$ then throwing $5200 out for a APR stage 3 kit. Keep in mind not I am looking to build a crazy street racer, just a little more power for daily driving.

Current mod todate:
Giac Chip, Samco TIP, TTDA, ****, Boost machine, Borla.

Thanks.<ul><li><a href="http://www.giacusa.com/news.php?newsid=51">http://www.giacusa.com/news.php?newsid=51</a</li></ul>

Default Is this a reasonable upgrade?

Or would most just be better off going the APR route? (especially for the 180)

It's basically a 225 turbo set-up...

Default So basically a chipped 225 is the power that would be expected out of this kit

Think I'll save a few thousand more

Default i am pretty sure that 300/300 is what they quote.

i havent seen their 'production' or advertised numbers, but 2 years ago 300hp about 300 torque were the dyno numbers I saw.

I think that a maxed out 225 gets about 290 hp - that is with just about everything done...

Default Is that from GIAC, or from Pro imports?

300hp I think would be worth the setup price, but I also don't want a turbo to be running on the ragged edge.

Default I don't see how they can squeeze 300hp with the parts they list. Maybe 250 more like

If you go with Revo, you can do Stage 2 program, and you have to have a 4bar FPR, aftermarket exhaust and Diverter Valve. I figure that I can get up to 264hp, which would be fairly quick for a lighter FWD TT. So now I am sitting about 219, with Schwing Stage 2, with Revo stage 1, and a diverter valve, plus the VTDA, throw on an exhaust that yields on the low end another 10% horsepower, the FPR, and the programming that yields 10-15% on top of the aftermarket add-ons I just listed, and you have about 264 or thereabouts and well under $3k total. Revo Stage 2 only costs another $50. Oh yeah, you have to have an SPS3 device, which is another $300 or less. I did not even mention Samco hoses, T-Carbon FMIC and a DV relocate, which of course will give even better results. I'm not sure if Revo has a program for a KO4 swap. I would venture to think they probably do though.

Default i was talking about pro-imports

they use a hybrid kkk turbo, iirc. I just took a look at their site, but did not find info.

I was there last week, and saw a blub in their waiting area about the kit. I have linked the kit previously. I will post the link if the search gods co-operate.
