My first TT had that same problem the day I bought it at the dealer!

It ended up fixing itself... funny as the dealer couldn't figure out the problem... and told me to bring it back on monday and showed me how to manually release the door. Pretty funny! After it fixed itself the problem never returned in the 2 years I owned it!
