I got my TT back from being at the dealer to replace a vacuum hose that had a leak (CEL has been on for almost a year, and third times the charm to find out what is really wrong). Anyway, got home and the gas cap and trunk lid switches did not work. I was some kind of pissed. Have to take the TT back in next week to get the correct hose installed, so figured I'd bitch at that time (figured it happened because of one of their techs).

Figured out how to open the trunk (pull knob in the compartment behind the passenger seat (I have a roadster). Then, inside the trunk, on the right hand side, pop open the small door and pull on the red cable...gas cap door opens.

So, I can still drive and fill up with gas. Had to do some shopping, so went out, came back home and both switchs were working! Can't fix it if it ain't broke. Good luck with yours.
