There are probably about 100-200 of us that are pretty deeply into this TT thing as evidenced by this forum and the events. For the most part we are the mod happy crowd. However, if I go over and look on cardomains.com, there are alot of TT's and owners I do not recognize. Some mods are ugly to me, but not to that owner. I can remember that first TT-East and was amazed at the age range of owners, but everyone got along so well. I look at the pics of TT-West and see the same wide demographics.

To me, it's OK to see those coffee can exhausts on a TT even if I don't like them because the person took a bit more interest in the car, and probably toots the horn at me.

I toot the horn today at an older guy in a red convertible today, and he gives me the finger.
