Default Headlight Lenses

While I know there is no way to get lenses by themselves for the headlights, is it really so easy to remove the lenses from other units and put them on mine? I could then buy Non Xenon units (way cheaper) and just toss or sell the guts? My issue is that I don't have a garage and I live in an Apt so I'd have to be able to do this relatively quickly.. I don't have the luxury of the TT being 2nd garage car Also anyone who has headlights they wanna sell let me know

Default it's really easy, most annoying part is...

removing the front bumper to get the lights out. you might be able to find a pair on ebay for cheap, or order new halogen ones from the dealer.

Default Yes, it is really easy. Just put them in the oven for 10 minutes, and pull.

My understanding is that all the molded components of HID and non-HID lights are the same.

Also, learn from Pimpy, and do NOT lose the small metal clips that hold the light together. Acutally, if you buy a second light just for the lens, you might get a pretty penny for the "extra" clips you will end up with!

This details how to take the light apart.

Default I did miss speaking to that part. Getting the light out is MUCH more involved than dissecting it

once it is out. You do have to pull the bumper to get the lights out. It isn't hard, but it takes some tools and some room.
