For all those of you actually doing your own Blueflame install..

    A few tips:

    1. The fvcking heat sheild has to be cut. No one ever said this, blueflame didn't mention it and no instructions were provided with the exhaust. See picture:

The red part is what we cut out. I also used some tin snips and cut the remaining bits and bent them up flat so there was some sheild left.

    2. TONS of smoke came out when we hit operating temps. My guess is that it was some of the sticky/gooey stuff that was left in the pipes from bending/cutting. Not sure what they use, but it sure makes a lot of smoke.

    3. Yes, you do need the extra bracket/hanger from audi if you don't have it. It really supports the mid and downpipes.

    4. Yes, one of the tips is NOT welded from the factory. It's meant to be that way. See the no instructions comment above. You get a clamp with the exahust that you should put on the tip first, tighten down a bit and then put the tip on. All this, of course, after the exahust is all installed. Worked like a charm and lined up great.

It lined RIGHT the f-up and looked great from the start. Sounds awesome. Nice a quiet, adds a nice deep tone to the exahust note and no drone. It's not rice, it's not annoyingly loud and it isn't going to make alarms go off. However, it's one of the nicest looking exhausts and very well made. Can't beat the price.

And of course, once again thanks to Umlautt for his install help.

We also started the DZus install. You need the longer ones 5-7mm, so make sure you order those. We have all but one bracket installed (Lost one down in the engine bay of doom) so I need to order one more.
