Went to the St. Louis autocross today........
Had a good time watching Gil (MoBlueTT) and Ed (TTakes2) run. They did very well, especially since it was Ed's first time.
I would have run, but I didn't get back into town until about 10:30, and that made me miss registration and inspection, so unfortunately, I just had to spectate, but had a good time anyway.
Ed ended up driving Gil's car as Ed's is severely overheating (rash of that lately on this board)....
I'll let them post the pics and videos.
We did see a Lotus Elise and a Noble there. That was cool.

1st Autocross I went to, someone snapped an axle...
One wheel went flying and the car skidded out of control. Everyone ran like hell and fortunately no one was hurt!
Sounds like you guys had a nice time. I haven't done this in awhile, but it's definitely a lot of fun!

yeah, it was UMB then as well, I just refuse to call it that...
This was actually recently when I used to go up there. not last year but the year before that and then the 2 years before that in an FSAE car for driver practice. Were you ever in attendance during those times? They usually did a good job at running the auto-x but there were a lot of a-holes that showed up. The events here in kc are a lot less organized, but the people are cooler.

I'd never been to one before yesterday......
but it seemed like a good group. People were chatting with each other in between and during heats, and Gil's car drew a lot of attention with people gathering around asking questions. It was cool.
