August 19, 1999 <br>ASSOCIATED PRESS <br>AUBURN HILLS -- Audi of America Inc. said Wednesday it is recalling 46<br>2000-model TT sports cars because of a fuel line problem that could cause<br>gasoline to leak. <br>The automaker said that in some of the TTs, a small section of the fuel line<br>assembly -- attached to the vehicle's underside -- could have been damaged<br>during production. <br>The problem, which could lead to gasoline leaking and cause a fire, has not<br>produced any reports of fires, accidents or injuries, Audi said. One<br>company-owned car did leak fuel, Audi said. <br>Owners are being contacted by mail and asked to bring the cars in to an Audi<br>dealership for a free fuel line replacement, Audi said. <p>
