VAG/MAF help. See my codes:
<center><img src="http://www.autodesign.com/vagcom2.jpg"></center><p>Attached pic showes codes, but here they are in text as well:
1 Fault Found:
17536- Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
P1128- 35-00--
I know I posted on this before, but I can't find the post so I am re-posting.
Since then, I have been to the dealer and was told the MAF warranty has been extended to 7/70 due to faulty MAFs. My car is a 2000 180QC, so its of regular Audi warranty. Trouble is, dealer wants me to pay for them to VAG it instead of relying on my codes. If they feel it shows a faulty MAF, then I do not pay for the diagnostic.
So the question is, does this fault code demonstrate a faulty MAF, and if so, why? I have shut off the MIL several times, and now it comes back on within a 1/2 hour of driving, same fault code, every time.

Yep, also check engine block 032 (long term fuel trim)...>
What this code is showing is that the ECU thinks that there the less oxygen then there really is (i.e. your MAF is reading to low, normal when they fail)
But check engine block 032, if the long term trim is showing something along the lines of +20% (my guess is, you have passed +20% judging by the recurring MIL) then you're MAF is most likely toast..

Looks like your MAF sensor took a dump >>>
You can either have the dealer replace it under warranty or get a 2.0 MAF (cheap) and switch the sensors out.
