I saw it, too.
Tirerack offers only two options for my 19inch rims(MK2 stock rims), either Pirelli Sottozero, or Blizzak.
Another poster mentioned Nokian for winter tires.
My gearhead friend, who owns a GTI, says I should get the Blizzak.
What do the MK3 owners think would be the best performance tire?

Nothing real for the TTS yet - no wheels listed, even in the winter tire/wheel package category.

For the TTS just go with TireRack's offerings for the TT, since you want an 18" rim for Winter anyway.

I prefer the Michelin Alpin over Blizzak as they are better in cold rain/sleet and of course very capable in snow as well.

Actually, I'm looking for summer wheels, since I use the factory 19s with DWS 06s in the winter. More than adequate for Minnesota between Thanksgiving and tax day.

Well since you have the specs of the 19" factory wheels, it should be easy to find replacements in the same size. Only thing you'd have to worry about is caliper clearance, but I don't think that should be much of a problem.

I had posted the specs of all the factory wheels in one of the other threads on here, too.

Huey, I kept my old rims from the MK2, they are 19 inch, so I needed something in that size.
