Default oil change due

Hey Folks,

My 2019 TT-RS just came up with a note saying oil change is due. I had the 5K service done at 5K, and now since COVID I've not driven it that much so as I come up to my two year anniversary I've only done 7,500 miles. The 5K was probably done just over a year ago so I suppose that might be why it's due? even though I barely drive it except once a week or so for some miles just to keep it fit. I'll likely run it down to Audi in the next couple weeks or so to get it done, but just wondered what thoughts you Audi experts might have.

Thanks everyone!
Lol.

The alert comes up due to time or mileage, whichever comes first. If you don't do it you risk voiding the warranty.

Vegas is correct, while under mfr's warranty you are supposed to change the oil annually if you don't make the mileage limit.

Thanks, that makes sense, and in hindsight is obvious, I guess I've just never been in this situation before with such low miles.

Thank you for replying.

I don’t even hit the miles on my services for my SQ5 but was told I need to maintain them up to date based on time.

Many of us are in the relatively low mileage quandary this year, but as cited many items are time and not mileage dependent. Oil (annual), brake fluid (every 2 years), tires (5 years) ....

6000 miles for me this year which is the lowest annual mileage for me since I started driving. Getting my oil changed today. Add Haldex fluid replacement every 3 years to the list

My Haldex & DSG fluids were changed at the 3-year mark as part of AudiCare (regardless of mileage).

But I had to remind them to do my brake fluid at the same time as they neglected to do so at the 2-year mark, and I neglected to notice.

The haldex fluid was changed. Next year will get brake fluid and dsg dluid changed at 4yr40k. Car feels significantly better after service and tire rotation.

30k/3yr report
