Was the TTS Coupe's nice little bump to 31 mpg highway in 2011 or 2012?

The TTS refresh was in 2011 but I didn't notice the 31 mpg highway until I saw a 2012 TTS at the local dealer.

Changed standard I believe. No software or hardware changes I know of.

Never gotten 31mpg. Of course, if I drove it at 55-60 on the freeway I might.

Yeah, you'll never see that short of cruise control at a low freeway speed, but I guess it's possible if you were stretching for gas. Not exactly par for the TTS buyer though.

Once following our old VW down the Maine Turnpike I got an average of 35 highway. Of course I didn't get over 55 much; hardly got out of 4th gear. In the real world of "highway speeds" I get 31 average, but that is a Prestige TT not in sport mode. Real life I get 28-29 average.

I rarely see north of 24, but I have a deep seated problem. An addiction, really.

Default So the 2011 TTS re-fresh was only cosmetic? The base TT got a torque boost...
