Default add dash insert from A4 to engine cover...check...rings off front...check. Not pretty but who

cares...I think they could have skipped the rings and put the RS badge there like RS4/RS6. Boy is that insert pointless. Would look better without it. Good news is you can actually see the engine.

I'd hope so, but I doubt it. Personally I can do without it.

Default The crankcase(block) is made of vermicular-graphite cast iron

What is meant with " The crankcase is made of vermicular-graphite cast iron. " from the release?

Doesn´t they mean the block? Why having a crankcase in CGI?

------------

I just got a answer from a person who knows.

Crankcase is a common German word for 'cylinder block'. The German term is something like kurbelgehaus?? They use this name because it holds (encases) the crankshaft.
-----------

The block is in CGI ofcause. This is first petrolengine in the whole world that is produced in series with the new material in the block! Before that it was primarly used, and still is,in NASCAR-racing. Of cause it is widely used in diesels also where the toughness is well needed. Audi uses it in all V-diesels.

Me too. Just a dabble of bling. I'd rather have the air box and intake in carbon.
