So who's still here?

You kidding right?
Currently it's just too slow. You have to wait for a delayed redraw every time you look at a comment as the page shifts up for some reason. Plus there are 3 separate ad sections scattered around the text areas so it's visually too busy. All in all we're bombarded with 6 different ads. It's too much. I question the logic of the layout. It's way too ad-centric.
The older version was faster, cleaner and more user friendly. For a system that's supposed to be more advanced, it's a technological step back in terms of user experience for anyone preferring threaded view.
I would strongly suggest that the second horizontal ad be eliminated so we have a nice continuous area where we can view a comment, it's thread, and the response field. At least the second ad should be moved below the comment field. And speaking of the comment field, moving the stack of 4 vertical ads to the right of it would also help clean things up some more. Too many visual interruptions.

And another thing....
It's actually impossible right now to view threads 'perceptively' the same as the previous version in terms of ordering.
If you choose to see all posts newest first (the universal default), then the sub threads also list newest first, which is opposite of the previous version. So it's really confusing to naturally follow the progression of a conversation since it flows up instead of down.
I'm sure Jason and co. care about the older users enough to get things closer to what they were, but for me, the new system is a halfway fix. It needs more work.
