RS brake squeal update
My new '13 tt rs had very bad squeal. I found out about Audi's prototype brake shim fix and asked my dealer to get it for my car. 400 miles since Audi sent down a specialist to install the fix, and I have not had a squeak since. If your rs is squealing, I would highly recommend requesting the test fix. My service manager was not aware of the fix as it is still being tested. Once I told him about it, he was able to obtain it.

Thanks for the update. I did a brake bedding the day after I took delivery and that helped with 90% of the squealing. Waiting to see how it plays out as I only have 250 miles on car and I am sure my Audi dealer would say "give it time". As many have said if you hit em hard no squealing.

I have a fix for the 1,000 TTRS models sold in the U. S.. AoA put "Ceramic Brakes" on them and forget this little but very annoying situation. We then can all go back saying great things about our TTRS!

took my ttrs in yesterday for a few things including brake squeall and sick grinding noise when starting at 2000 rpm.
Service advisor started giving me a very well rehearssed speech about brakes and squealing as he was handing me a brochure audi just came out with on brakes and squealing.
not what ii was looking for in the way of service from them

Replacement pads for squeal and new car update
Received a call from Audi USA this week about my brake noise. Got my TTRS December 5th (2013 model) special order and it arrived with an oscillation at light brake pressure and slow speed. I filled out a questionnaire indicating the problem. It took them till this week to respond with new brake pads now available. They are contacting the local dealer and supplying them with the new pads. It will take a couple of weeks. Hopefully all TTRS owners will get this same service.
My car now has 3500 miles on it and I cant say enough good things about it. I traded a 2009 S5 and was concerned about buyers remorse because that had been my ultimate car. Great mileage, fast, comfortable and beautiful (Ibis). The seats are the best (alcantara) and my daughter (10) fits in the back. I changed the oil myself at 1000 miles, most difficult and time consuming oil change in any car to date. I am continually impressed with Audi quality, my wife has a Q5. However I have not been overly impressed by the local dealerships. Hopefully that will change with time. I think these forums are a great resource for potential buyers. I spent a lot of time reading before finally test driving and submitting an order.
