Default Are people getting 5% off MSRP on Ordered 2.0ts?

5% off msrp on a 2.0t optioned how I want is right about what I want to pay, ~ 750 over invoice.

My dealer mentioned that they usually give no more than 500 off msrp on ordered 2.0ts. Now I know that is bunk, but what kinds of discounts are people getting on 2.0ts that they ordered.

is that 5% off msrp reasonable?

Default I would say that 1000 over Inv seems to be pretty common.

Your dealer is full of **** on the 500 off orders...glad you see that.

These cars typically have 3-4K between MSRP and Invoice.

750 over is out there and I have even heard of 500 from on person. Not sure if that is accurate or not. If you can get 750 over, that is pretty good....anything below that seems to be reserved to special discounts.

Just keep in mind...250 bucks (between 750 and 1000) will alter your payment around 5-10 bucks a month depending on term. I know its more about princable then 5-10 bucks...but dont not get, enjoy and love the car for that ammount of money.

Best of luck.

No I'm totally with you, a few dollars is not the end of the world -- I'm still just trying to work out the best deal I can.

On the upside I just got an insurance quote on the 2.0t and 335 and both are less than 100 dollars a year extra for coverage!(Coming from an acura tsx)

Have you tried internet sales quotes, I've gotten quotes for 500 and 750 above invoice here in NorCal. However, they consider 500 bucks worth of ad/prep fees in the invoice.

I've been working with the dealership closest to me.(There are at least 3-4 within 30 miles)

I would prefer to work with this dealership but if they dont' want to go 750 over invoice(ad fees/prep already accounted for) then i might jsut well get some more quotes from dealerships around me and see if they'll match.

Default

The ad/prep fees are part of the invoice. It comes from Audi that way and the dealer pays for it.

Default That might be a tough deal to get

Considering that roughly $500 is ad and dealer prep fee and this seems to be a legit invoice cost. I think aside from one person everyone has had to pay this.

So technically you're asking for $250 over invoice. If you can get it...congrats to you.

I got $500 over invoice.

Default The Audi "Friends and Family" program is $300 over invoice (car + ad + prep + $300)...

The "Friends and Family" is about as good as it gets. I had one dealer that wouldn't honor it because there was no money in it for them. Can't argue with that, $300 on a 46K TT isn't a lot.

So $1000 over invoice (car + ad + prep) sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

The ad and prep fees can vary by area, so you'd want to see what the actual Audi invoice reads. I think mine was something like $90 for prep and $430 in ad fees.

On paper, a dealer could offer you something better, if for example, you had a good trade-in that they knew had the potential for making additional profit on. Then they can simply shift some profit from the trade to the deal. On paper, you'd be getting the Audi for much less (say invoice), but that's all coming out of your trade-in.

Default My dealer has no "dealer prep or advertising" fee in there deals.

None. Ever. This is my 5th car with em.

2ndly, reguarding friends and family discounts and a dealer not honoring them...I am reading over my friends and family documention and it seems like the dealer could catch some serious heat if they did not honor it, based on the wording. Its not a lightly worded document and it doesnt given the dealer an "option" to offer it. Its a mandate from AoA stating the person holding this is intitled to 300 over invoice plus all applicable promotions. The only thing the dealer doesnt have to honor, or rather, its not applicable on is the S8, R8 and RS4. I am reading this directly off this sheet.

So my dealer will be making 300 over invoice on a 50K TT. No Dealer Prep or Advertising.

Just wanted to throw that out there for comparision...since some are posting otherwise.

Default I spoke with F&F at Audi, and was told that the dealer can refuse...

I think there was even something on my coupon that said something to the effect, "dealer is not obligated..." Maybe it has changed now?

Anyway, F&F wasn't happy about it, but they told me that they can't force a dealer to sell a car under the program. F&F then referred me to two other dealers that were happy to do it.

As for the ad and prep fees... My invoice was printed out of the on-line system. It included both fees, and I was told by both corp and the dealer that they are part of the invoice.

So you're getting a great deal, congrats man. With fees or without, we can't really complain since the F&F is such a great deal.
