Default Re: Any reason you didn't go for magnetic ride?

Considered magnetic ride, but I have heard mixed reviews on it in terms of creating a stiff ride. And my last car was an FX35 with an incredibly stiff ride, I was scared off by some reviewers saying what they did. I am sure I will probably regret not having it!

Default Re: still like answer to cap reduction warning?

Exactly. I used a very small cap reduction to get my payments under the exact point I wanted to be at when I started the negotiations. After getting to a certain point in negotiations, you have to be cognizant of where it no longer makes sense for the dealer to sell you the car. I finally got to a point where I felt comfortable on all aspects of the deal and knew if I tossed in $1K I would be happy with the monthly and would not have to come out of pocket with a ton down. And well, the car is damn nice!! Can't wait to see the black beauty with offsetting interior and all the toys! The Navi on this thing looks incredible - just being able to access memory card slots is worth the dough alone. I wonder if you will be able to view pics on screen??

Default Color and Nav+

I originally ordered black with red interior but changed it to silver. I decided that lighter colors really highlight the lines on the hood as well as the sides. I am also too lazy to keep the black exterior clean.

Regarding the Nav+: The SD memory slots are highly praised. According to some people from UK, it is better than the iPod interface.

Default Re: Color and Nav+

I was torn between black and silver for the same reasons. Wanted silver because I thought it showed the sexy lines much better - but I loved how cool the black looks in motion and with the brake lights pressed - also liked the black exterior with the light interior. I ordered the navi with the iPod interface - does this mean I will not have the memory card slots behind the navi screen??? I was wanting both! Please let me know. Thanks. I am betting that both the silver and black will look great!

Default SD memory slots

SD memory slots will always be there. I just wanted to let you know iPod interface is not a big hit.

I debated silver vs. black for many sleepless nights. Black is so beautiful when it is clean.

If you decided to keep Black, you can use the $475 you saved from metallic paint to keep it clean. $10 a wash, $475 is about one wash per month for 48 months!

Default Actually, I have seen a few video reviews that stated the opposite...

Meaning, the magnetic ride when set to "normal" actually is more comfortable than the normal stiffness of the TT. And then when switched to "sport" it is stiffer than the non-equiped TT.

So, that suspension can be more comfortable AND more sporty -- plus, it is truly leading edge technology that only a few other cars (Ferrari 599GTB) have

However, that $1,400 can purchase/reduce the price of a lot of other options (like Nav).

Default Found one of the quotes here:

"On the optional 9J x 19 20 spoke 2-piece alloys with 255/35 tyres and sports suspension your chattering teeth tell you that. It's very stiffly sprung. And though it absorbs bumps quite well, the damping effect that keeps the wheels on the ground over crests and undulations can upset a delicate stomach. Audi has an answer to this, though, in the form of optional magnetic dampers that work by applying a magnetic field to the fluid inside them that contains small metallic particles. This enables them to instantly be switched from standard `sport' to much more comfortable, so is an extra well worth specifying."<ul><li><a href="http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=245">http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=245</a</li></ul>

Default The only way to make it not a sucker move is to get gap insurance, which is just MORE money out of

your pocket. Best bet is to just roll it into the monthly payment. That way, if the car is totaled early in the lease, your losses are minimized.
