Is it just me or is the new TT just down right UGLY>>compared to the old
version....The old version reminded me somewhat of the old porshe wash tub look. This newer version has no real style to me..Just kinda BLAH...The interior seats are nice but that is about the only thing that really stands out....Sleek desinge yes but not something that will last the test of time like the older design in my opinion....Lastly, when seeing the TT in Mission Imp long ago it was a must have and today wouldnt even give a second look.

Saw my first the other day. It's not ugly...
but it is a bit blah, that is a good description. Left me unfazed. Made it easier to plan my next car though; can scratch that off my list!! Will be keeping my car forever, and maybe adding an S5 instead of the new TT.

A lot of Mk1 owners seem to have issues with the Mk2.
Yet I think it's a stunning car and prefer it to the first generation. Better looking in the flesh too. Seems to be getting loads of (design) awards as well ...

the mk1 set the standard for design awards...
i truly think the only reason people are attracted to the MK2 is because of the precedent the MK1 set for style and design.
the Mk1 changed the way cars were being designed at the time...and to this day, there are still clones popping out.

If this forum is any indication
Then the '08 TT won't brake any sales records. The car is about to be released and all we talk about is how bland the car is or how underpowerd the car is compared to its competition or how much it costs. Also, even more telling is that based on the lack of activity on this forum, there are too many who even care.
