I wonder why they didn't review the TT-RS on this past season of top gear? (or the R8 5.2, or the new S4)

I think it may have something to do with availability - from Audi.

Besides TG and Clarkson have always kept away from the 'herd' in so much as IF they do not get an exclusive on a new car then they tend to wait for all the 'noise' and 'hype' to die down before giving the car a thorough going over.

As we now know, the 'herd' have been contradicting themselves in regards to the TTRS - some love and others say it is not as good as a Porsche thus it is a disappointment...LOL.

I have the TTRS Roadster and I am just amazed at what the car allows me - a mediocre driver - to do in the bends...simply awesome and brilliant! Straight-line speed and in-gear acceleration is just ridiculously fast for a ‘TT/Hairdresser’ car!!!

Best gears at speeds for me are as follows;
3rd from 50MPH...
4th from 80MPH...
5th from 110MPH...

Before you ask and with safety in mind, all above done on private airfields thus not on public roads.

I guess you can tell I am smitten by this thing...

Yeah, maybe they are waiting for the hype to die down before doing a review.

You are very lucky to have the TT-RS. Congrats! We don't even get a shot at buying one here in the US.

Thx indeed, I think am more fortunate than lucky - had the foresight to buy before the reviews came out else I may have been swayed not to buy...the negetaive reviews are misleading though...and those stating the car is not that much quicker than a TTS after a test drive are also misleading.

One really needs to spend a week with the car and then comment. Am fortunate enough to have owned it since August - it gets better each day. A simple remap will make this a mighty car to be reckoned with on real roads.
