Nice! Did you have Halogens before? Was it a direct swap?

I had HID and this was a direct replacement. It’s about 95% as I’m having an issue with the high beams. When I put them on, they shut off after a few seconds. They do come on, but shut down. I then get a bulb out on my dash. Funny though, I can flash the high beams without issue, but they won’t stay on. The fit was perfect and the swap took me about 3 hours. I had one not work and discovered a disconnected cable on the headlight.

That sounds similar to the issue I had with my stock HID lights. In my case, the internal shutter was broken on my driver's side light, so the high beams would not stay on. Like you, I could flash them, but after turning them on they would turn off with a "main beam error" or similar error on the DIS.I ended up replacing the driver's light. Maybe the MK3 lights don't have the shutter but the car is still expecting it to open/close with the high beam activation, and when it doesn't get the open signal it assumes it's broken?

They want me to jump through hoops to get a resolve, but taking the headlight out again is somethings I really don’t want to do. I’m just going to live with it. At least I can flash the high beams when needed. There was also another issue with the ballast for the xenon as it was a little short. I looked at the original and did not see any way I could remove the original to put in the new, so there’s that too. But after all that, the lights look better than before. My original set was full of media blasting from the highway. I was going to work on them over the summer to see if I could clean them up. I still haven’t seen them at night… yet.

I liked it so much, I did the rear light assembly’s too. Got them on eBay.

I couldn’t stand the rear exhaust tips, they were blackened over the past several months without any care. Finally got some scratchiest pads and went at it. I really wanted blue tips but it wasn’t meant to be. Thought the black tips would work but in the end, no.

Rare back then to have LED’s. I discovered my 3rd center brake light had a couple of lights out. Ordered a replacement that is not red but a darker tone like the new tail lights.
