Airbag update
My airbag story. Any comments?
1. Airbag light comes on
2. Tire center resets and the light stays off for weeks
3. I replace headlamp washer fuse, which burns out again, and the light comes back on.
4. I use a cheap scanner to reset
5. After 5 minutes of driving the light comes back on
6. Dealer does $130 diagnostic test, finds nothing. Says not related to fuses. Offers to replace airbag system for $3000.
7. Airbag light remains off on drive home
Any thoughts?

You need a VAG-COM to help
I had the airbag light come on in my '98 A4.
VAG-COM can tell you which bag is malfunctioning and why.
Mine had an open to the passenger seat bag. I cleaned the connecter under the seat. reset the DTC and never had a problem since.
