With the 2009 TT 2.0T quattro finally confirmed, how many here would get it instead of a TTS?
#6
I bet alot, 2.0t quattro 6sp M. would sway many from a price point and mod factor.
It will prolly be very easy to get the same power from the 2.0TQ and the TT-S. for alot less money. And still have money left over for suspension.
I'd be swayed for the TT-S in a manual. but i doubt that will happen.
Does anyone know if the TT-s will be similar to the MK1 TT quattro sport, its regards to recaro seats and rear seat delete?

I read the article he says 2.0T with quattro and when asked about manual vs. DSG he says DSG would be the standard. He doesn't mention manual as an option nor does he say it would not come. Anyone else read it this way?

Later in the article he states clearly that DSG would be the standard on the 2.0 quattro TT. It's the TT-S that is still up in the air (although I wouldn't get my hopes up). Either way, I'm thinking about snagging a 3.2 before there's no manual TT option left in the US.
Anyone know when the 3.2 will stop being offered? When's the usual model year switch over in the US for the TT?

All TTS coupes will be fitted with...
... a rear seat. Rear seat delete won't be offered in the S coupe and wouldn't be of much value in a roadter. Recaro shell seats will be an available option for both the TTS coupe and roadster in some countries but it's extremely unlikely they'll be available in the car for either the U.S. or Canadian markets.

No 230hp 2.0T quattro - no sale here - and with DSG that 2 strikes....
the price would be the third strike and i'm out. As much as I want to like the MKII TT - it's just too much going against it.
