Where are all the "old timers"?

I know you guys are in here somewhere. With the tt going on 10 years you have a collective wealth of info for us "new" guys. I bought a '00' ttq and am wrenching my way through my own work ie cv axles, clutch, shocks and springs, water pump, timing belt, instrument cluster and motor mounts. Have you all established a thread somewhere to share what you've learned for the diy'rs? Me I'm a +- kinda poor guy but I appreciate a nice machine. I have 2 1975 bmw r90/6 motorcycles that I also do most of the work on.
p.s. I don't mean OLD I mean experienced.

just trying to find help
I made it through the worst of the maintenance I mentioned in other posts'. Now If I could just find the procedures for undoing my bonehead boluxing up of the shift linkage, (as in how do I adjust it?) I'd be fine. The pattern seems to have moved west (left) and I can't get reverse at all. I thought it was a clutch bleed problem and bled that sucker for 4 days!! I'm still seeing the bleed valve when I close my eyes. I did find a neat trick online that uses a syringe and some insulation from a small gauge wire that helped.
