Agree, at least if they want a handout, they need to tighten their belt, including the UAW......
face it, they have failed, partly, IMO, due to the extravagant wages and bonuses, not only for management, but for the employees. I hate to get started on this and even though my wife is an employee in the teachers union, I truly feel the Unions have outlived their usefulness. It creates a pay on years served and has nothing, yes nothing, to do with your abilities or dedication to do a great job. We need employees that only receive higher wages when they deserve it, for a job well done, not just because they can walk the picket line.
I know teachers that just put in the time and show no dedication to their students, what so ever. If they had annual performance reviews maybe they would step it up.
I work hard, because I know it means more money, if I knew I could get a raise just by showing up, then it may be different.
And I quote the former head of the UAW..<B>"Getting more and more pay for less and less work is a dead-end street."</B>
Sorry for the rant, just pisses me off.
