Default replace front parking light bulb

I noticed that the parking light on the front is out (in the headlight parking light). Does the bumper have to come off? The turn signal still works, but the parking light doesn't

Any tips or tricks?

Thanks!

Very easy from the engine compartment. (I had found easy steps on this forum at the time.)

I've replaced them too many times in the past. Now that both are gone, I don't need to worry anymore...

I got tired of paying the Dealer like 17 bucks every time one of these blows out. They have offset nubs on the bottom, so they are hard to find. I went to Radio Shack (The Shack), and got a 2 pack of 272-1112 for 1.79. I used a grinder to grind one of the nubs off and like magic, I save 16 bucks per bulb. They are a bit dimmer.

Default Need help removing bulb

Can someone help me out on how to remove the bulb. I figured you just pull it straight out but that appears to pull out the bulb by the leads.

I checked out the link in this thread which has good pictures and he says how to remove the bulb but it is not clear.

Thanks for the help - this should be a really simple thing!

Cancel that. I see the wiring harness comes with the replacement bulb.

New member and new owner of a 2001 TT quattro roadster. All lights work as they should except the front parking lights. I watched the video which shows how to change the headlamp and directional bulbs. My parking light (as shown in the video) has no wire and the bulb looks good. Power source must come from inside the headlight assembly? I think I'll just go ahead and replace the bulb, ether it will work or it won't. Any comments for this new member would be appreciated.
