Rear suspension issues....
I took my car to the dealer for a new down pipe. Yes, just a plan old stock pipe. This is a 2003 225 TTQ with 102K mile that is my daily driver. So the dealer says I have a cracked rear spring and I need to replace both sides. I did not want to do the downpipe myself as it is a PITA and I am very busy with other things. But it looks like I will need to make some time for the car. So besides the springs what else should I be replacing while I have it apart? Is there a kit available?
TIA

At that mileage you probably will need shocks, they wear out real quick. The cracked springs seems to fairly common problem especially where they use salt.
I sold a pair of rear springs a couple of weeks ago.
Not a hard job, it's kind of a pain getting the old rear stock springs in and out as even with the sway bar disconnected the suspension doesn't drop that much.

If you check on VW Vortex and on Quattroworld you will likely find someone who'll sell you some springs for a bargain. Lot's of us have our old OEM springs sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I'm not sure why I keep mine. Just do :-)
