Its time to change the summer tires. Can someone recommand a good tire (225/45/17) for daily driving in toronto? Any good deal out there?

I've been running the Yokahamma AVS-ES100's.

I've been a fan of the AVS line since the Intermediates back in early 2000's.

Good grip, good wear, not to expensive, but they do have a tendancy to get a little loud after about 75% wear (which is where I am now.)

But I'll get another set in a couple months for sure. Can't beat the price to value ratio.

I've used them on the Track at Road America. Very stable and pretictible. Prob. not the best gripping tires I could put on the car, but I only track it once or twice a year, so it's not worth me giving up tread wear for stickiness.

I HATE those tires... As stated above, they are TERRIBLY loud.

Also one of mine developed a bubble... and another (not the bubble tire) blew out on me

There was still ~60% tread left in all 4

I won't buy again

Now I'm running Nitto 555's... I was skeptical at first, but honestly am loving this tire... Had for about 10k now, the wear is great (even with my rear toe issues eating my tires) - i need adjustable CA's back there eventually

They are quiet, yet comfortable ride and handle well. Overall I'm satisfied with them and would buy them again

I would post a picture of the carnage my ES100's caused but I don't know how to post pics with this stupid VB bs and I don't have time to figure it out. lol

The blow out was with my A4, put me into a guard rail and totaled that car, then I got the TT - hmm, I like my TT more, so maybe I'm not all that upset with that crap tire :-P

Default Pilot sport PS2's

expensive, but worth it to me. The extra cost is pennies per mile.
