Is it normal - 66K with original Brake Pads?
At 66K miles, my 2000 Audi TT Quattro still has about 4-5mm thick brake pads.
I thought I must have changed the pads in the past, but went through and called for all service records since 2000, and I could not find any trace.
I understand that the limit is 2mm, so it looks like I could still drive the car for perhaps a year or so.

I am glad to see that mine are not an exception.
I've ordered pads, but I am not going to hurry to install them.
The TT brakes are one of the reasons I liked the car.
An ingredient must be good materials and workmanship.
I would not say that I have a driving style that does not require using the brakes. Sometimes I use them vigorously, and the car slows from high speed in fractions of seconds.
