Default I used a wire jumper method on my fog light switch. I think I have a write up somewhere

Where in NY are you? If your near Albany and need any help with anything let me know. I've been looking for someone else with a TT in this area. That's a great story BTW hope you daughter likes her car.

We live about 20 minutes from Poughkeepsie. And my daughter loves the car. She thinks it's so cool and I gotta admit she looks really good in it. I've only seen a few TT's around here although I've seen more on my commute to Westchester than I've seen in the past.

Thanks for the offer of help. I will also probably leave the foglights as is. I just wanted to know if there was seomthing that was wrong.

Default with 89K mi, $12-$13K is about average (private party, not dealer)..>>

so it sounds like a good deal

no matter what, it's a great car, a safe car, and a car that (with 89K) if she kills the clutch soon, it would have needed a new one anyway

I can understand how you feel buying 'sight unseen' but sometimes, despite the best inspections, cars can turn out to be lemons. And other times, weird ebay buys are really solid.

I've bought 2 cars on ebay, 1 on autotrader. So far 3 hits no misses couldn't be happier!!!

Good luck, post some pics, and welcome!

Default I'm not sure if anyone has posted this yet but -Find out the status of your Timing Belt ASAP!!!

Many people here have had their belts break well before the 100k mile recommended change resulting in several thousand dollars to repair the head. Please do yourself and your daughter a favor and find out if its been replaced. If you can't find out I would have it done sooner rather then later. If it breaks your good eBay deal won't be so good

Default thanks for the suggestion

Since I don't know when, and even if, the belt was changed, I am going to get it changed very soon. At least that way I know I have 60K before it has to be done again. I also need to get the rest of the fluids all changed. Not sure the proper maint was done in the past.

Have a great new year.
