Wow, I agree, a logical trade-up. If only it looked better!

Default you're right...new Camry has 278hp.

Audi is sleeping at the wheel. There is just no excuse for the poor engine choices in the new TT or the late launch date in the US no matter what people say to rationalize what they are doing. Audi will pay the price in lost sales.

BTW, here are some more details on the new 3 coupe over at MWerks. The twin turbo motor is intriguing.<ul><li><a href="http://www.mwerks.com/artman/publish/bmw_news/article_1027.shtml">clickee</a></li></ul>

Default Ummmmm,no.....

you can no longer get the a new 3-series coupe...the 2007 model should be out in the fall, and there will be a 328xi coupe available...so i guess your 1999/2000 theory has kind of been squashed huh, and nobody was talking about other year 3-series, the discussion was on the 2007 coupe, and there will be a 328XI available in the coupe. Let me guess the '06 3's done all have 3.0 liters either?

Default Yep. But the X (AWD) will now be available as a Coupe and a Sedan

Before you could only get it in a sedan.

Didn't mean to come down hard on ya, looks a lot harsher than I meant it. Honest mistake with the 2/3 liter thing. And when you said ONLY the 328ci will be available in xi I thought you were referring to Coupe vs Sedan when I think you may have meant 328 vs 323/5/35 etc.

Default supposedly the turbos are extremely small...

so they are probably approaching their efficiency limits from the factory. But it would make a nice platform for a couple of disco potatos as an upgrade
