Default ModShack Guy and others, need some input on my control arms...

I've got the MK1 arms and original sway bar in my posession, however, replacing that front sway bar is the pitts, as Steve well knows.. The new bar, that came with the MK2 arms appears to be 22mm, vs the 18 mm that was originally in there. It seems to me that I may have the best of all if I retain the new 22mm bar and replace only the MK2 arms with the MK1 arms.. watcha think????

Bracketracer advised against this awhile ago. I can't remember why.

Default The car will plow like a mother with that massive front bar.

You want the stock bar back installed. Ask to drive the car and you will notice in fast turns and tight slow turns the car will plow to the outside.

This is why people have put the Neuspeed 19mm bar on the rear, to try and bring the back of the car around. Making the front larger has the opposit affect

Default you are quite welcome. I do know it is around 300+ miles to the dealer

which would be a bitch to make that drive to then discover the car drives like crap as compared to how it was for the first 2.5+ years of driving pleasure.

Default Re: I thought they also reduced the size of the rear swaybar with the MK2

Putting the original rear may return to a more neutral handling.
