Default Mapping the Motronic 7.5?? Anyone? Piggyback?

The following mods are being mado to the engine:
2 liter stroke kit, Je pistons, Auto Verdi Rods, Better valves from Schrick, agressive cams, compression at 8:1, larger turbo (havent decided yet), custommade exhaust manifold, superlarge intercooler, 3" exhaust with racekat, 610 cc fuelinjectors.
Ther isn´t anyone here in Sweden that can map the oem Motronic to a satisfying result. I´m in desperate need of ideas. Does anyone know of a good piggybacksystem that will workon the car?
Check out my swedish homepage at www.rattracing.com .

http://www.rattracing.com</a

Default I've seen the new MOTEC M800 work wonders. Completely mappable.

Has provision for in-cylinder water injection, and once you're at it, get rid of the stupid MAF sensor on the intake hose and use the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) one instead.

Have seen the M800 on Stage III Subaru STIs but also on a modded S3 that is used in dragster racing over here.

Good luck with your project, great site you've got there!

Be sure to post some facts and figures of your car once it's up and running!

MOTEC M800

Default Hey, I love that custom front valence. Any plans to sell those? Also, any chance you could also

have an English version of your website? Translation software doesn't seem to handle Swedish very well.

Default The front will be serieproduced by SCE Swedish.composite.eng@swipnet.se.

I´ll make a shorter version in english. It´s just that the car takes all my spare time. (You can guess what my girlfriend thinks of that...)
If everything works out well there will also be sideskirts and a new rear end. SCE is currently making a mold of the front capable of serieproduction. Before that we only made a prototype front and mold.

Default Motec makes grest stuff but my wallet is getting rather thin...

I´ve also heard that if you disconnect the MAF sensor the ABS and ESP soesn´t work anymore. Strange but that seems to be the case.

Default Thanks man, the car looks great. Hope the engine stuff works out for you. I think some guys on

vwvortex's 1.8T forum are using a tuner chip along with piggyback controllers with limited success. I seriously doubt if any piggyback would work without getting rid of some of the safeguards of the stock ECU (i.e. over-torque/over-boost condition detected, conservative spark advance, etc.) Hence the need for a tuner chip. I would suggest checking that forum out, as I think a few of those guys are doing, or are trying to do, what you described.
