Default K&N filter performance intake kit

I have a 2003 225hp TT coupe that has a REVO stage 1 software modification. I just added a Borla Cat back. Now I am considering the K&N intake kit. Do you have any experience with this kit and what kind of HP gain should it yield?
ANy other recommendations for performance upgrades?
Thanks in advance

Stay away from the K&N. Go for the Modschack filter like many on the list have. Great price and superior filter design for sure.

I really like the AEM DryFlow Filters. They have no oil, so they are safe for your MAF.
They flow 99.4% clean as small as one micron and used they flow 99.47%

I got mine for $50, it's the link above. A 3" inlet perfect for the 225 model. all I did was get a 3" intake tube and cut it to length and then had a bung put on for the secondary air.

Been running the K&N with Apr 91 and 100 octane program. 40K plus miles and mucho track time. No issue at all.

K&N only has an efficiency at 93.73% clean and 95.63% used, It doesn't even come close to the AEM DryFlow which is 99.47% used.
