Do not, under and circumstances, cross the wake of a loaded barge/tug (which is at speed) in a 21' Deep-V at 60 MPH.
It's not a fun thing to do.

Other way around. Ended up >>>
standing the boat on the transom and taking water over the engine compartment, almost threw us both out of the boat.
Damn tug was throwing 8' rollers.
All is fine though... just a bit scary.

Yea dood always stay away from those commercial vessels :-)
Try the manasquan inlet in the summer. Easily get 8 foot rollers there too. I just settle on top of one and surf it in, because if you go down the front of one of those it ain't no fun!!!

I learned how to boat in the Manasquan Inlet, that can be some nasty stuff...
also the intercostal can be tough with the wake bouncing off the sides. I still get nostalgic when I see those yellow rcks from the Jersey Shore :-)

When you say gold rocks you mean gold chains right?
on all the Sea Ray owners?
I didn't know you lived in NJ! We will have to reminis(sp?) next weekend.
And Yes I have buried a bow going through that inlet! Not fun, and a little wet too!
