You'd have alot of fun with it.....

The mods available for MINIs are unbelievable, and even encouraged by some dealers. Out of the box, it outhandles the TT pretty easily, and in Grand Tourismo 4 on the Playstation 3 too.
We're (I'm) thinking about adding a MINI Mania chip and pully kit someday soon...for an increase to around 190-200 hp.
I haven't driven the 2007 turbo version, but they seem to be selling well at our new dealer here in Omaha. I hope you get one!

From a k!ck@ss-fun-for-the-buck standpoint they're pretty tough to beat. That said, ones with...
...<font color="003366"> upwards of 200HP on tap (<i>i.e.</i> JCW and modded regular S models) are a mess o' torque-steer, and without the optional limited-slip kind of a mess to drive. With the LSD, they still torque-steer but it's easily manageable if you're paying attention.
Lots of fun, too.</font>
