Default How do I recharge my A/C on a 2002 Audi TT Quattro?

I've been reading around, didn't find anything on search. I have a bottle of R134A with premium oil, but I can't seem to find a guide anywhere on how to properly service my car. My A/C right now gets really weak above 80 degrees, which never used to happen.

Hi, I'm pretty sure you would need an A/C specialist to do this.

Cheers.

The A/C specialist would have had to learn how to do this from somewhere right? What tools do I need?

You just need a refill kit with a gauge, the low side input is just above and behind the radiator on the passenger side.

Turn the AC to max (manually set temp to LO) .

Make sure the AC clutch is engaging, you can see it from the top.

Then plug in the refill and add very slowly as necessary.

DO NOT JUMPER the low pressure switch up by the firewall as some people may advise you to do. On the 2001 and newer it's not a switch it is a digital sensor and jumping it will blow a fuse if you are lucky or blow your ECU if not.
