Default Help?! Car demands hazard lights be on, even with a fresh hazard switch/relay.

So, I mentioned it in another post on Sunday, thinking that replacing the switch would solve the issue, but alas, that was not the case.

Every time I turn the car off, it turns the hazards on. I turn them off, it turns them back on after a few seconds (literally, less than a 4-count).

Right now, I have the radio and the switch pulled, and I'm hoping that there's not been a power drain overnight.

Thoughts? Advice? Exorcist recommendations?

Default Just checked it: With hazard switch pulled, no drain overnight.

So... umm... WTF? Same problem with both switches, leading me to believe that the problem is neither the old switch nor the new one, and ultimately, so me other sinister thing.

No modifications were made whatsoever, and the only thing I can even think of that happened between when this started and when everything was quo was a light dashboard cleaning and a basic driveway car wash... ???

Default I don't think so. Noticed another strange anomaly this morning:

My map lights stay on if they're in the normal, mid-switch position while the car is running. I can manually turn them off, but I have no idea whaddap with that...

WTF??!!?

Mine does that sometimes too. Fixes itself.

What was the final fix?

I have nearly the very same problem only the hazards come solid on 15-30 minutes after I start the engine. Replaced the hazard relay, didn't fix. I leave the relay unplugged when parked so I don't run down the battery.

I haven't tried the hard reboot. I don't have my radio code.

Default Radio Code via Vag-Com?

Can you get your radio code from a Vag-Com?

I'll have to check with my local service guy.
He has the equipment to check.

Any idea if removing power to the system will correct the weird behavior?
