Finally got a chance to take my daughter's TT, 2001 225 HP quattro, for an extended ride on the NYS Thruway Sunday. Had to go to her sofball tournament about 150 miles from the house (her team won and she got MVP. Sorry, proud papa couldn't resist mentioning that).

I was doing between 75 and 80 MPH on the highway and averaged 27 mpg. Was wondering how that was compared to other simlar TT's. The car has 100K miles on it but just had a full service about 500 miles ago.

when u fill up the tank, what was the total milage shown on the board?

When you get up over 70mph the fuel economy starts to go down pretty quick since the revs are up around 3k. If you keep the revs down a bit you should see 30+ mpg.

I typically get 28-30 MPG, so you're about spot on.

this was legitimate, shot near the end of a 500 mi trip at 70 or so
