Default Can anyone tell me what the VAG 17521 code is?.....

That code is not listed in my Autel code scanner book. I got the CEL recently after driving the car no more than once every 7-10 days this winter. :-(

Other similar codes listed in the book are related to the O2 sensor...maybe that's it.

TIA!

Default I found it....17521 P1113 Bank1-Sensor1 Internal Resistance too High..

...on this site.

Anyone know what it means? I've had a weak battery lately too.<ul><li><a href="http://dtcsearch.planetvag.com/default.aspx">http://dtcsearch.planetvag.com/default.aspx</a</li></ul>

That means you need a new pre-cat O2 sensor

Default Thanks for the info....

I just got back from a drive.

......realized I could have looked it up in my Bentley manual (paper addition)...duh. :-)

Anyway, I can see the sensor from above, but it doesn't look too easy to access with the strut tower bar in the way. I'll have to see what more info I can find in the FAQ and Bentley....I really should read that thing more often...just haven't had the need.

upper strut brace is easy to remove, there are 8 13mm nuts holding it in place

Default I found MCPaudiTT's write-up in the FAQ....he removed the charge pipe instead....

...maybe that would even be easier.

that works too, just 2 13mm nuts on that, just be careful with the hose exiting the turbo

Default If you pull on the pressure pipe too much you run the risk of popping the

turbo outlet hose off. It's a PITA to get back on.
