Big Turbo TT Broken!!!
#13
Hate to tell you this but, mine didn't either.
It was just locked tight with the pedal to the floor. Lining broke then stacked and took up all the free play (movement)between the flywheel and the pressure plate.
I spun it way too fast with a too early 5th to 3rd down shift. Clutch was not engaged , thus the engine was in no danger of overrev, but the clutch disc! It spun faster than it wanted to go :-( Good syncros!

Wow, you've got me thinking...could you drive the car after that?
I just drove the car and its almost back to having normal pedal pressure. I'm going to bleed it and look for leaks around the master cylinder. If nothing, then I'll pull the bell housing.

Well yes and no.
At first my clutch would disengage a bit right close to the floor, then halfway home from Road Atlanta the lining stacked up tighter and I had no clutch. I had to shift with the throttle and rev matching and turn the engine off to stop, and start the engine with the car in gear to get home. Wasn't too bad, but driving it onto the lift at the shop was tedious :-)

Many will not agree with me on the drag racing that I do with my TT, but...
Yes this launch was accidentally quite overzealous. My usual launches have netted me close to a 1.7 60' and I'm sure this one was a 1.7 or even possibly a 1.6 but it was just too much back to back with the other launches.
