Default better performance

Alright so I just got a bonus check and I've got about $350 left to spend on my car any recommendations on what I should get?

An APR Stage 1 chip would give you the best bang for the buck for power. For the 225 engine your H.P. goes from 224 to 257. For the
180 engine it goes to 218hp. (91 octane chip) That is with no other mods. I have the APR chip & its a blast. The only other upgrade I have is a Forge diverter valve for the turbo. Plan to keep everything else stock.

An APR chip would definitely be a great mod. Do you have any other mods on the car now?

No I don't. Although I decided to get parts first and get the ecu last. I'm going intake, new turbo hoses, a diverter, exhaust and then the ecu

People kill me with this lol.

Get the stage 1 ECU first. It's such a drastic change from stock.

*When you get your intake, nothing needs to be done to the ECU!
*When you get a new diverter valve, nothing needs to be done to the ECU!
*When you get new turbo hoses, nothing needs to be done to the ECU!

When you get new downpipes and catback...ok, then the ECU needs updated lol. But guess what? APR will do it for free as a Stage 1 customer.

Go get chipped dude!

See I didn't know the bit about them redoing it for free. That's why I was going to wait. I was under the impression I would have to pay them again

Yea man! APR rocks!

Also, don't do major bolt ons, like Turbos and such without having a new chip.

No I won't. I was just gonna do some simple stuff. Basically upgrading some OEM parts that are know to fail under high boost situations like turbo hoses, diverter, that kind of stuff

Awesome! The R1 is a great diverter valve from APR. I personally don't like blowoffs. They sound good, but ultimately they release valuable air to make the sound instead of recirculating. My turbo/R1 with my intake make an awesome swoosh without the loss of air. There are other great diverters too better than OEM. Even 180 drivers grabbing the 225 oem valve is a good call.
