Best online site for OEM timing belt kits?
Hi. I just puchased my 1st Audi, a 2003 TT base roadster. Car is awesome!
Its 11 years old (and only 41k miles) and I want to change the (possibly original) timing belt, tensioner, and water pump. Better safe than sorry!
I want to use only genuine Audi OEM parts, accept where it makes sense not to? What are the best (trustworthy & good prices) websites for purchasing timing belt kits? Looking for highest quality parts.
All pointers are appreciated.
Thanks,
-Joe

Wow, no replies yet.
I've researched and found three places (so far) that offer complete kits:
1) ecstuning.com - they have several kits; not sure which is the best
2) dieselgeek.com
3) mjmautohaus.com
Opinions or thoughts appreciated. It appears that I should NOT use an oem waterpump because of the plastic impellers.
Thanks.

Joe, dieselgeek sells a great kit with great components.
ECS Tuning is a major forum sponsor. They'd certainly be a trusted source.
Welcome aboard!

Buy OEM parts from a dealer. Only a few online non-delaers sell true OEM parts. Pelican is one of them. But, if you have a problem with an OEM part you bought from a dealer, you can go right back to them. Online places are not as easy to deal with.
Don't skimp on timing belt components. I got burned by BlauParts once. Never again. They claim their components are OEM but use weasel words in their ads. They sell garbage.

We sell OEM Audi parts for the entire Audi model line. Our prices on some timing belt parts will be more expensive if you compare them to non OE parts, many of you know that already. But for dealer only parts, we are very competitive. Please give us a try.

Has it been decided who has the best timing belt kit- DG or ECS? Also stick with the OEM thermostat?
