Looks like some parts of the Country got hammered pretty good...Drove 12 hours yesterday to get home. Great to be back. had a great time while there though...Some highlights:

Capt. Ron on the Left, and John on the right are old sailing buddies from my Chesapeake days. Both also worked for Honda in our previous lives so we have a lot of history (some of which cannot be repeated here!)

The boat was a little ragged, having sat most of the winter. John and I provided some labor and expertise to get her ready for the season.

Whenever i go cruising, I am always on the look-out for my real parents just in case I was adopted. I may have found them....

The economy appears healthy in Miami and S. Florida. it appears the State bird is the Construction crane. I cannot even total the hundreds of millions of $$ in new construction we saw:

Made it to our friend Tony's place on No-Name Key and rafted in his Canal where we spent a few days on Maintenance issues. Tony and John in Tony's Flats boat preparing to escort us into the Canal

All in all a good time was had by all! Ron will spend the next 5 months doing 6 day a week charters for the Boy Scouts. He's had over 500 kids on the boat over the past few years!
