Anything I should know when opening the steering column?
I am routing a remote mute switch for my V1 and need to run the cable inside of my steering column. Unfortunately, I don't have the Bentley manual yet and was wondering if anyone had any hints for how to open the steering column and if there is anything else I should know. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

There are two tiny screws. Pix inside:
There are two holes at the underside of the steering column cover:

You need a screwdriver with a small tipped end on it to engage the Phillips-head screws:

With the screws out, you can lift the top cover (it works easier if you have lowered the steering wheel adjustment all the way down):

Continue lifting up:

And finally it comes completely off:

My problem is with the lower section. I already removed the 2 phillips screws in the front of the lower cover (behind the steering wheel).
Someone mentioned another connection point at the ignition switch but I don't see anything there on my 2002 A6.
